Port Douglas Sightseeing
In Far North Queensland, Port Douglas has its fair share of natural beauty and is probably most recognized for its beaches. It's most famous beach is four mile beach. As the name suggests, the beach is in fact 4 miles long of white powdery sand lined with palms. This makes for a popular beach but one that has plenty of room and isn't overly commercialised.
The local market overlooks Port Douglas and is a great place to find fresh affordable food, particularly seafood and arts and crafts that make wonderful souvenirs.
The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary imitates the environments of grasslands, woodlands, wetlands and rainforests and contains 1600 different species of animals. It is an excellent place for people of all ages to learn and enjoy the sights of plant and wildlife with the help of knowledgeable guides.
